The issue happens when you have a system with only AMD GPUs, i.e. No CUDA capable GPUs

When you use NVIDIA GPUs, you can use latest version of CUDA, 5.5.47 currently.
You only need to use 5.5.28 when using AMD GPUs like on the 2013 Mac Pro. This will be handled better moving forward, but this is required for now.
