You just use a node on layer 2 to key the green screen. Then right click to get an alpha output, and then feed the alpha from this node to the alpha output. You might need to invert the key.

Hi Jake,

You just add a node in your track node graph, and do whatever you need to do. You can even use track versions to try out different looks and different outputs. Will that work?

On the resolve panel, there is also a function to ripple a node to the end of a scene range.

Thanks – glad you like V8.

You can use alpha channel, just not the embedded alpha channel in the clip. If you bring the alpha channel as a separate matte clip, you can use that to do the composite.

Right-click on the node graph to add an alpha output, and feed the alpha channel from the matte through in the node graph.

Hi Robin,

Currently embedded alpha channels are not supported. If you extract the alpha channel as a separate clip, you should be able to use that as a matte to composite V2 and V1.

You just feed the matte to the “Alpha Output” in the node graph.

I get 24fps with the same sort of grades on a fairly similar configuration. If you can send the logs as Dan asked for – we can figure out what might be going wrong. Also, please export your project, and send it as well.

Try setting to resize filter to Bilinear in the Config page, Settings.

Also – make sure you are using OSX 10.6.7/10.6.8.

Lastly, make sure the dongle is securely plugged in, and can be seen by the Mac System Profiler.

I would try switching to raid 0 next and dropping ram to 6gb

Basically, Lion is not supported with v8.0 currently. Please continue to use OSX 10.6.7 with CUDA 3.2.17 or OSX 10.6.8 with CUDA 4.0.19 with v8.

A 2010 8-core should be just fine. 12-core gets you more performance in dealing with codecs which use the CPUs, but it’s not necessary. Even a 2009 8-core Mac Pro will do just fine.

Hi Gareth – I don’t think that function was ever there, but it doesn’t matter. We understand the need for that.

The only thing you can do is to right-click Basemem all the highlighted shots.
