I am getting a funny result when Coloring on Version 8 – when manipulating any Color Setting including with the mouse only I am getting Brightness Spikes every few seconds – even on the scopes. I do not get any Spikes when not Correcting. It is even happening when I loop a clip and play it – but it doesn’t exist at the same place twice. I have a GTX 285 and 120 – Version 7 was Rock Sold – 8 seems to have this issue. I have the newest Cuda and Nvidia Driver.

Hi, this is evident when the application can’t find a Resolve dongle regardless of platform or drivers. If you reload the official release software and insert the dongle and still see the problem please send your logs to davincihelp@blackmagic-design.com, the guys there can guide you to a resolution.
    Thanks, Peter

I confirm viewer and render problem with V8 on both 12 cores MacPro with 10.6.8 and 10.7, rendered frames DPX or quicktime have frames with colored lines, random, never the same, looks like a GPU problem… CUDA updated… GPU’s are GTX 285 on both machines, 10.6.8 with 3 GPU, 10.7 with 4 GPU.

Are you running the v8 release from the BMD website? Please re install the official release and if you continue to have problems, please send your Mac system profiler XML output as well as resolve logs to our support. Don’t forget to send your dongle ID for verification.

Basically, Lion is not supported with v8.0 currently. Please continue to use OSX 10.6.7 with CUDA 3.2.17 or OSX 10.6.8 with CUDA 4.0.19 with v8.
