  • Hi Robin,

Yes the DPX would be rendered as 0-1023.

All YUV codecs, including all flavors of Pro-Res, and DNxHD, are rendered at normal video levels.

All RGB codecs, including DPX, are rendered at full data range.

    Hi Michael,

The problem here is that you are using the “reconform from folders” option. When you do this Resolve loses the history of your previous conflict selections, etc.

Can you explain why you are using this function? Are you adding new folders in the media pool?

If you are just adding a new VFX shot, it should not affect anything, and you will just get it as one of the conflict options.

I don’t think this has anything to do with the “Force Conform” function as far as I can tell.

    Regards,
    Rohit

The 4 outputs are YRGB. the Y is calculated from the RGB channels in the file. The A from the file is currently not used in Resolve.

Remember to get an EDL as well to chop it up. We don’t support using XMLs for the Preconform workflow yet.

Best to get 4-5 small clips (each with it’s own EDL) instead of one long clip so you can have 4-5 small projects.

    Hi Peter,

What is the source resolution of the clips?

Is the Pixel Aspect Ratio of the clips 1:1? Try setting it to Cinemascope in the Media Pool right-click menu, and see if that helps.

If you still don’t have any luck, please send an example image/clip to our support at davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design.com, and we’ll figure it out. Please also send the XML, and exported logs using the CaptureLogs.app at /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/

    Regards,
    Rohit

Try setting the panel to None, and then back to Wave.
