Where did you put the transcoded files? In any old folder? Avid will only see files as Avid native media if in an Avid MediaFiles folder. It’s quite possible to transcode to an Avid codec and link to the files as usual. I imagine this is what you are seeing.

Audio keyframes? Option (Alt) or Shift+Option (Alt) to move. Track needs to be active. Also, there is a keyframe activation button in the UI. It’s possible (but unlikely) that you’ve turned this off. CC? Use the CC workspace. You don’t tell us which version you are on. Take a look here: http://www.avid-companion.co.uk.
