After working at Bournemouth University for 12 years, I am sort-of retired. I'm available for video editing, training in video editing and graphics, consulting on video and TV production with an emphasis on Avid systems. Technical writing and editing. Published 'Video Editing with Avid' (Focal Press, 2001) and have written many training documents for Avid Technology and Bournemouth University. My company, Six-Plate Projects, recently published The Media Composer Companion, a bang up-to-date guide to Avid Media Composer.

Cameras

I’m not primarily a shooter but I sometimes use a Sony Handycam, an old and a new GoPro and sometimes shoot video on my my digital stills cameras or phone. The old adage is ‘the best camera for the job is the one you have with you at the time.’ More seriously, I have a cupboard full of lovely old analogue film cameras which get regular use.
