To be clear, check that your Avid MediaFiles folder (if you are using Avid-generated media) is at the top level of whichever drive you are using and the subfolders are correct: Drive>Avid MediaFiles>MXF>1 etc. The only exception to this is on recent clean installations on Mac Catalina and later when the Avid MediaFiles folder will be created within Shared Users on your boot drive (the boot drive isn’t the best place for your media). from the MC 2020.4 WhatsNew:
“With the release of macOS v10.15.x, you cannot write media to the root of the boot drive. Therefore, the default location for the Avid MediaFiles folder has changed with this release. You can now find the Avid MediaFiles folder in the following locations:
(Windows) drive:\Users\Public\Documents\Avid Media Composer
(macOS) /Users/Shared/AvidMediaComposer”

Do it as you would with any font added to your OS. Nothing special about T+ fonts (well, apart from the way they sometimes don’t display as you might expect).

Special card? You’ll probably need that on any computer. You could use a Blackmagic Mini Monitor or AJA T-tap which will give you HDMI out to a video monitor. Both these use a Thunderbolt connection on your computer. Does the PC have this?

When you link, there is an option to create a bin based on a folder. This will at least maintain a mimic of your folder structure within Media Composer.

Not for transitions but Blend-X gives you all the compositing modes that Avid doesn’t offer. It’s free and it works: http://djfio.com/blend/ (I have no connection with these people).

‘Quicktime’ might give us a clue. Try an MXF export then re-encode in Adobe Media Encoder (if you have it) or Shutter Encoder (very useful, free).

I’ve occasionally seen this with my G-Raid. IIRC, the only way out was to quit and restart the computer. I think I even raised a case with Avid but I don’t think it was resolved.

Pretty good but for glitches with Titler Plus. I recently uploaded a video to Avid showing them quite a few weird ‘features’. With your OS and working at HD or lower, you can use the old Title Tool or Marquee. If you use T+, avoid selecting colours with the colour bucket – try the RGB sliders in the Effect Editor instead.

So, you could open a problem title in the old Title Tool? If so, no problem. Check the appearance and save (or, possibly overcut the new title into the sequence, if needed).
