Thank you so much Mike, I had come across Dan’s tutorial and it looked a little daunting but your generous contribution has made me think I could give it a go, it’s really interesting finding ways of using AE for Flash type work, I have created a couple of animations that have done the job really well on web pages, things I could never have approached in Flash … again, good of you to take the time.

Thanks Jason – that site has some great stuff on it and Dave thank you – how obvious was that (obviously not obvious to me) – I’ve not been using AE lately (sadly) and the brain has gone a little dead. All have good weekends Roger

I’ll give that a go Dave – 29.97 – yuck – I’ve always been so happy living in PAL land and been able to skip the 29.97 stuff in the manuals !

Thanks for getting back to me Dave – I kind of understand – there seems to be something odd going on I need to dig into it and do some tests to establish how its working – I think I’ll ‘shoot’ a clock with a seconds sweep-hand then i’ll be able to see exactly how AE does the conversion. Regards Roger

Hi – I came across this a few days ago – bloody clever and, of course, for photoshop. I haven’t looked at it properly but you may find it of some use:

Thanks again Steve – if it’s of any interest you have to turn on “Show legacy Components” in quicktime pro (maybe it was disabled in the new QT ! go figure. Anyway hope it helps someone else – best Roger

Thanks Steve – as I always have ‘add to render queue’ (BTW what is ‘Make movie’) ?. Anyway, by the way you posed your question are you suggesting that I should have MJPEG and that I’m possibly rendering the wrong way ? Thanks for taking the time – Roger

Thanks both but no luck – I can’t find it anywhere – well I can in the channels list in effects but nowhere on the system (including in the package) – I guess I’ll just have to live with it. best Roger
