I’ve also heard some horror stories from Ebay – people buying and copying and demanding their money back – nightmare ….

Excellent I didn’t realise you could re- download CS6 – (I must admit I didn’t find the download page just a long list of all my software … some go back to 2006 … doesn’t time fly) !

    Thanks for you help.

  • Thanks Matthew … sadly not the problem in this case, the render actually doesn’ t stop at 3.24 just the movement of the crawler, it stops and the render continues …. go figure.

    Thanks again Roger

  • Thanks Darby … yes the screen grab wasn’t very helpful – here’s a project if you can find time to have a quick look:

On my system the render stops at about 3.24

I have found a way round the problem but am mystified as to why the animation stops before the end of the render … anyone any thoughts please ?

Thanks Dave, pithy as ever … yes it’s a bottom third text that scrolls from right to left, I think you might call it a ‘ticker’ over that side of the pond. I think I’ve sorted it a little now but on an 8 min project it seems the max, speed is -1,380 … I’ll keep digging.

Thanks Dave, yes it was simple and I thought I new the solution (highlight all hold, alt key before grabbing end frame and continue to hold whilst dragging) but for the life of me it didn’t seem to work the other day … go figure. I was also having problems creating a new keyframe (in case anyone else is reading this) … I moved a layer and ALL other keyframes moved … I really thought something was seriously wrong … but I’d “separated dimensions” to use the graph editor, rejoining them solved that little glitch … and I am Mac Yosemite but not CC .. I’ve stuck with CS6 (don’t get enough work to warrant the expense) !

  • Thanks Dave and Ted, yes of course that’s the answer, I’ll make up some sample renders, obviously easy to do and it will give me the opportunity to ask pertinent questions. As I said my experience has been solely tv broadcast and the internet world is weird to me …. have good weekends Roger
