For ages I’ve been getting a “2 copies of remove color matting” message when I open up AE7 – I decided today I’d dig and find it – but when I do a search in spotlight I cannot find even one (I can see it in the effects window in AE under channels) am I being really dumb – ? Thanks for any help Roger

just use a specific search on your pc for that effect.
(you know on windows Start-> search) and then search in the AE folder.
    mayby that comes with something.

It might be inside a package. Try this:

Ctrl-click on the AE app’s icon in the applications folder, then choose “show package contents”. The extra plug may be in the MacOS folder therein, in a “Plug-ins” folder.

Thanks both but no luck – I can’t find it anywhere – well I can in the channels list in effects but nowhere on the system (including in the package) – I guess I’ll just have to live with it. best Roger
