Since I posted yesterday, I was told that the 4K blu ray players will NOT play anything but Hollywood 4k files no matter what. Do you have any more information on that or experience with a 4K player?
Sure would be nice to watch our own footage besides putting it on youtube.

    Thanks for the information.
I just assumed Vegas would be up to date on that.
Guess I’ll just have to wait for the next update, etc so they can hit us again with a new version.

I tried the VLC solution and recovera but neither one rebuilt the file. It won’t load or play on anything.

It is now possible to “heal” or “join” two events that hold the same media back into a single event.
Would someone explain what this means?
    Thanks

After searching all morning I finally got in touch with Sony by phone and they told me there is no difference in the two.
The /B indicates the camera is black but the man at Sony said they’re all black, so go figure.
    Mystery solved.

I’m looking at the Sony AX53 which fits the size I’m looking for.
But thre’s also an AX53/B which costs less.
Do you know the significance of this and what difference there is?
I can’t find anything on the web about the difference.

This link with the /B is from newegg

Sometimes I have an extra keyframe one over the other which causes problems. I usually delete all the keyframes in such a case and begin again.

June 24, 2017 at 10:48 pm in reply to: Mercalli

To recap… my video event using Mercalli 4 as a Vegas plugin gives me worse than the original event results.
So I emailed Mercalli and sent them the event to see if they could trouble shoot the problem.
They were very nice and replied promptly. Here is what they said but I’m still not clear at all what I need to do.
Can anyone give me a clearer picture of what the solution is?
(by the way, when I put the same event in Mercalli 3 standalone it does a great job.

    Hello,
    Thanks for your request again.
Your video is interlaced. Please use the correct project setting in Vegas, depended of your video properties.
    Then analyse/stabilize your video again.
You received much better results with progressive video material with Mercalli v4.
    Please check.
    with kind regards

  • If I might ask out of curiosity, what is the video that lasts 24 hours?
