Recovering a file
I just finished filming an episode of one of our PBS shows using 4 cameras.
One of my 4K cameras lost battery power at the end of the shoot and now the MP4 file must be corrupted. At any case, it won’t load in vegas or on it’s on using VLC media player.
It’s a 29 gig file. Is there any way to recover this so it will be usable?

Someone once told me to use VLC to load up the video and then in VLC use Media Convert/Save. I have never tried with a large file and never with 4k yet so I cannot say this will work or not.
Can VLC play most of the file you have?

I tried the VLC solution and recovera but neither one rebuilt the file. It won’t load or play on anything.
