Wow! I just looked on my Sony PCM-D50 recorder and it does have the ability to put in an XLR mike. Great!
My two small camera’s are an HRD RX520 and then a HDR CX160.

I am using the Sony compressor and also a wave hammer on the master bus. Not sure what you are saying exactly though in your comment. Can you explain a bit more.

There’s small Sony cameras that have no ability to change the automatic gain. But… I do have a really nice Sony recorder I could use if placed close enough to the interview. Not as good as using an XLR but probably the next best thing.
    Thanks.

We offer our 1/2 hour PBS series for $1.99 online viewing but the way I have it set up now is very awkward so just looking for something that is more streamlined. Itunes doesn’t seem to be an option as they require way too much set up, etc.

    Hi Stephen,
It’s just one project at a time just split into regions and then each region is rendered with the same template.

The strange thing is when I try and save and have the new saved file renamed to another totally different name, the error message comes back:
An error occured while saving the project file…and then it gives me the name of the new file name.

The error goes on to say: Make ;sure you have read access to the file/folder and that it is not corrupted.
How could it be corrupted. It’s a new file name!

Another strange thing… When I try and delete the few files that it did copy over to a new directory, it says that it can’t delete them because they are open in another program. How could they be open in another program when those files are simply a copy?

I’ve tried that several times and nothing seems to work. Simply can’t save it because that message keeps appearing.
Really frustrating. Never a day goes by that some problem has to be dealt with.

Does Youtube have a similiar pay per view feature?

    Roger Bansemer

  • Thanks. I gave it a test and it didn’t seem to make any changes on the MXF files.

  • I take a lot of time getting my audio right for our PBS series and render than out as MXF files. Do I need to check the audio on those once I render or should they be the same as what they were in my project.
