July 21, 2012 at 12:12 pm in reply to: Possible? Is it possible to add a border around a jpg?Another way is to use Track Motion and the “blur” feature.
Just reduce the blur to 0% to make a hard edge and then enlarge the drop shadow to surround the picture. That will make a border.
Also that way you can use that track for multiple jpg pictures and they’ll all have the same border each time you place a jpg on the timeline.Roger Bansemer

I have had this happen many times so you’re not alone. Sometimes it’s hard to find the exact event that is bad. I try and eyeball where 81% might be for instance and then render that small section and try to narrow it down that way.
Similarly, rendering can sometimes stop at a certain point.Roger Bansemer

I had the same trouble trying to figure it out with another Prodad plugin but I remember something about having to go to “all programs” where I saw a new listing which had to be clicked on and the install began from there.
I someone else may have a better answer but that’s what I remember about it.Roger Bansemer

I’m putting a small audio sample here of a man talking and a Ferrari revs its engine in the background. If that can be removed I’d be convinced but it seems impossible to me.
I’d love it if someone would give it a try.

That’s right. The bit rates they have on the templates are in my opinion too high. You have to type something in there that suits your needs.

July 14, 2012 at 12:51 am in reply to: Asking for tips to deal with audio adjustments (remove background voice + part of main voice)I use Izotope denoiser very often but I can’t seem to get anywhere with the specrtum plugin. Is there a good tutorial on that one.

Believe me, I know it’s confusing at first.
1. Drag your mouse over your video and hightlight everything you want to make a video of. (in Vegas language your video and what you have on the timeline is called a “project”
2. Go to “File” and then “Render as”
3. There you’ll find a box that says “Save as type:”
4. Select the one that says “Sony AVC/MVC (mp4-m2ts.avc)
5. Just below it there is one that says “Template”
6. Click on that and you’ll get a drop down of templates. If you want a small sized video you can select one that says “internet 640×480 30p”
Experiment around a bit. Don’t use the 24p which is 24 frames per second. 30p is better which is 30 frames per second.7. If you want a larger video in HD you can use the “internet 1280×720 30p” but in that case you’ll need to go to the “custom” setting and change the bit rate to maybe 4,000,000.
Then give your video a file name and be sure you save it where you know it is.
Hope that helps.

July 13, 2012 at 1:05 pm in reply to: Asking for tips to deal with audio adjustments (remove background voice + part of main voice)Chris is right. Replace that portion with another portion of audio that does not have the undesirable part. Another trick I sometimes use is to mask it with another sound effect. For instance if someone says a few words you don’t want distinguished in a room with people eating lunch for instance, you might put in a sound effect of a few dishes clinking on another track.
A cut away shot of something else helps a bit too. So if you want to further mask the sound, you might put a cut away shot in of a the dinner plates with someone picking up a fork and then add the additional sound over that.Roger Bansemer

I’m using the Sony AVC/MVC setting and then going to the custom setting and changing the bit rate to 4,000,000.
You can reduce that bit size even further if you like or use one of the other templates.Roger Bansemer
