Rendering DVD
Posted by Patti Arrigo on July 20, 2012 at 7:40 pmI am having trouble rendering a DVD.
It will go as far as 81% and then
quit. I have tried this 3 times
it is the same each time. Any ideas
I don’t have trouble with any others
just this one.Patti Arrigo replied 13 years, 9 months ago 4 Members · 8 Replies -

July 20, 2012 at 11:24 pmMy guess is that whatever is at the 81% mark is corrupt.
Try replacing it with anything else and see if that solves your problem. -

July 21, 2012 at 12:09 amThanks I thought of that.
this may sound like a stupid
question……what corrupts a file. -

July 21, 2012 at 12:33 amNo one knows why a perfectly good file gets corrupted, just that it does, and for no apparent reason.
It’s happened to me before, I replace the file with a copy of the original material and all is well once again. -

July 21, 2012 at 12:03 pmI have had this happen many times so you’re not alone. Sometimes it’s hard to find the exact event that is bad. I try and eyeball where 81% might be for instance and then render that small section and try to narrow it down that way.
Similarly, rendering can sometimes stop at a certain point.Roger Bansemer

July 24, 2012 at 1:36 amDo you have enough space available on the drive you are writing to? I’ve seen this happen when I had a lot of projects going and had not realized that my hard drive was about out of space.

corrupt. I rendered it without any
problems. I will keep in mind watching
my hard drive. (It is almost full)Thanks
