Another way you could do it is to put a time stamp on your video and just let him or her note the time where they want changes.

I’ve had trouble with Boris plug ins crashing the project too. Is there any setting in Vegas that can help that out. I’m still using Vegas10.

Another thing I do with tracks if I have quite a few is to group them which puts them out of the way while I’m not working on them. That really cleans up the workspace.

Lots of those out there better than me at this but I can tell you what and why I use different tracks.
1. If I’m shooting an interview with 4 cameras I put each camera video on a separate track. That way I can usually do color correcting on the track level instead of the event level. That can add up to a lot of tracks if I’m doing several interviews.
2. I put all my cutaway shots on a separate track because most of them need to be color corrected separately at the event level.

I often have multiple projects open at the same time for different reasons but mainly to copy and paste sections of one video to another.

If you highlight just the video you want to sync with PluralEyes, it will only sync that video and not try to sync everything on the timeline. But, it will sometimes, maybe always I can’t remember, put that audio at the very beginning of your project. If you have ripple on, that can mess everything up.
What I do if I have several tracks I want to add to an already open project using PluralEyes is:
Open a new project with the video I want synced. After it syncs them, I simply copy and paste them over to the project I’m working on. That way it doesn’t mess up any existing video on my project.Roger Bansemer

Another option is with the new Sony Spectral Layers program. I was able to remove from an entire half hour program all the cricket chirping sounds and leave my voice and even the birds that were chirping in the background.
I haven’t figured out all the nuances with it yet but it can do wonders.Here’s a tutorial about it.

You can lock an event on the timeline by right clicking and go to “properties”. There you see a box that can be checked that says “lock”.
If that is checked the event can’t be moved or changed in any way.I thought that might be it but I just checked on my system and it doesn’t effect the “paste event attribute”.
