How to automatically add file names into the picture?
Posted by Michal Bronec on August 28, 2012 at 3:01 pmI need to render a lot of clips I shot today and upload it on Vimeo. My client then look at the videos and give me some comments to particular shots. The shots are very similar, so I need a way how to automatically “mark” them. My client then tell me for example “shot MVI_3968.MOV needs to be reshot etc.” Is is it possible?

August 28, 2012 at 4:06 pmWell, i hope i understand your question correctly. If you
want them named automatically on the timeline, you go to
View and select Active take information. Then if you want to
rename a particular clip’s active take name, you right click
on it, go to Take and then Rename active and make your change.Steve Rhoden

looking for, then what you want cannot be done that way.Steve Rhoden

The two products I recommended will do what you want.
I’ve used Excalibur for this purpose and Aleksey is the developer of Vegasaur so I’m pretty sure he knows what it can do 🙂 -

August 29, 2012 at 10:51 amAnother way you could do it is to put a time stamp on your video and just let him or her note the time where they want changes.

is a far easier method for both you and your clients.Steve Rhoden
