Thank Tim 🙂 I fully understand. sharing my thoughts on “warning – spam word, please remove it or enter moderation” I’m sure that like my case, sometimes a user does not really know he has entered a spam word. I know for instance that if you use a curse word in another forum, you get a notice or even you are not able to post the thread as is… this could save time for moderators as well as users.

ref#1 Santa – definitely can be done with particular
ref#2 Envato – nothing too special here. I believe even no 3rd party plugins were involved here just shapes with glow adjustment and maybe created in 32bpc for realistic light
ref#3 Cartoon – these were all probably created by shape experts with patience and a lot of skill to get the perfect results. for example this: https://videohive.net/item/140-flash-fx-elements/11266469 was actually mostly made with Ae shapes, keyframes and such.

[Alonzo Gutierrez] “I just wondered if getting it, and using it, before learning to do it the hard way, would make it seem like I work with a crutch.
“I Would definitely learn the tools first. know how to do it yourself with no scripts and not plugins. only then if you are in need to speed up your process you should use it. here’s a very 2 good posts by Nick Campbell aka greyscalegorilla about this exact subject matter:
https://greyscalegorilla.com/2009/09/the-death-of-the-keyframe/
he gives this as an example of pure talent in manipulating keyframes old school

if you can set these bars to appear on black like here then do that and import to Ae as a video footage.
1. set the bars to luma matte themselves so you can get them on transparent
2. apply a matte adjustment that smooths the edges – I used refine hard matte

well tracked, and roto looks decent as well 🙂 obviously there is more involved to get a decent composite. the image has to blend with the surroundings so how about a… blend mode? if it’s a screening then guess which…
if the blend mode looks too harsh you can also try color correcting the footage. you might want to do it either way.
feather the edges – it’s too sharp and perfect. you might want to blur the image as well.
I highly recommend Mark Christiansen’s Compositing series on Lynda. it’s not that long and will give you everything you need to know to make a decent composite in After Effects:
