well of course it won’t automatically track as it go off screen as it is totally obscured. luckily the motion is pretty constant. just manual track it either in Mocha or Ae. here’s how to do this in mocha:

I think you are maybe going the wrong way here. it seems to me the objects (the red solids) should be below the the big 3D CG control room and it should be transparent. this way you don’t need it to be rounded since it will be cut by the big element on top of it.

yep something is definetly wrong here. I see you are using 2015. is it 13.7.1? it should be. have you tried 2015.3? or the new 2017? they are supposed to have better performance. I would also try resetting my Ae preferences: https://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2013/10/15/reset-after-effects-preferences/

I am reading your post but find it hard to understand exactly what you are trying to pull off. are you saying you have a rectangle mask path that you want to be rounded? can show explain further and maybe show an isolated mask so we can see exactly what is happening vs what you want to happen?

Paste the first keyframe over the original last keyframe instead of deleting it. BOOM 🙂

you would have to roto the glass out of the video in these areas:

this means:
1. duplicate the video
2. roto the glass in these areas
3. mask the footage underneath at the top and bottom
4. place a white solid at the bottom of the layer stack

Animation is what I used when I encoded with Handbrake. what seems to be the problem? you can also try DNxHD or PNG
