wouldn’t that be something… unfortunately that’s what adjustment layer is – affect ALL the layers underneath no exceptions. the common workaround is precomping the layers you want to affect by an effect and applying the effect to the precomp.

if you do that, you will get missing footage warning but as long as you kept the same structure, relinking shouldn’t be too hard.

Unfortunately, No. it’s an automatic tool for better and for worse. you have other methods of stabilizing which are controlled by keyframes like Stabilze Motion (which will use conventional 2d Tracking) or you could use Mocha. there is a tutorial here that offers a workaround for converting WS to keyframes. you can try it:

this is incorrect. warp stabilizer will only stabilize between the in and out points of your clip. all you have to do is trim it. this won’t help much if it’s the same shot because there will be a jump that is impossible to fix.

can we see the shot? it would help. basically experimenting is all you got, you are looking for a feature region in the search region. the more tight the feature region is, the more accurate it will be. seeing the shot will help give you the most efficient workflow

Steve, when you paste a path, you need to make sure it’s in the same place or else it will shift. in the GIF you provided, you clearly have the circle to the right of your square and that’s why you are seeing a shift. simply select the path property and move all the circle vertices to be aligned with the square ones and it will animate in the same place.

https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.htmlthe only time I needed morph cut is for morphing talking heads on a premiere edit, and I did it in premiere. when I tried to use morph cut as to something that was more challenging – it failed miserably. and of course you could always just copy the clip from Ae to Premiere, apply the morph cut, render and bring it back.
