I hate to say it, but the dirty way worked perfectly for what I’m doing. Thanks for the tips!

Not quite what you asked, but here’s what I do:

    Open Disk Utility
    Select “New Image”
Decide where you want to store it, and
How big you think it should be, and
    Select AES 128 encription
    Hit Create
Then enter a password (Don’t forget it!!!)
    Hit OK

You now have a password proteted Disk Image of any size you want to drag and drop sensitive data into.

Yeah, that did it. I didn;t realize the Adjustment Layers applied UNDERNEATH it in the timeline, rather than “Behind” it in the viewer… Thanks

Thanks Shane. What if I select NONE as my “codec”? Is that an equivalent method (the large file size doesn’t matter to me as they are small clips)

    Hi Jeffrey,

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to call a duplication facility for a quote and turnaround time. Make sure hey know to produce an exact clone of the master tape. They’ll do a great job and you won;t have to worry about your client etc. It’s only DV, it won’t be that expensive.

    Good luck.

Got it. Object – Blend – Expand.
