Illustrator: Object – Blend – Make

I have a simple circle with four squares inside. I selected all, hit Object – Blend – Make and the five shapes blend into one another as you’d expect.

Now, to my eyes what has happened is Ilustrator has created many “new” shapes and plopped them in between the shapes I created. But I cannot select or move each one of these newly created shapes, only the original shapes I created.

Is it possible to convert the blend to separate individual shapes?
