DeAnn… that’s the ticket. Changing the input in the Mac System Preferences and creating a Mono track for the voice over recording. Thanks very much. Happy New Year !

  • I knew it was too good to be true. Stepped away from the computer for about an hour… came back to the project, hit the set up button and “CRASH” ! I don’t have time to fool with Invigorator anymore… gotta move on to something dependable.

  • Cliff… I don’t want to jinx anything but… this morning I installed the Adobe After Effects CC 15.3 Release and installed the Invigorator Pro v8.6.0 Plug-In and… so far – so good. I have a rather complex model ( at least for me ) that I’ve been able to open and work on and it’s been behaving nicely. I’m struggling a bit with getting the reflection map the way I want, but at least – up to now – I’ve been able to work on it crash-free. Good luck !

  • Hi, Cliff… I’ve had the same issue (and others) using Invigorator for some time now. Initially, the team at Zaxwerks seemed rather diligent in trying to resolve the problem, but with no success. Eventually, their responses ceased. I hate to admit it, but the frustration with it has caused me to all but stop using the plug in; which is a shame because: 1. We paid for the software, and 2. I’ve seen some really nice work with this plug in. I hope you’ve had a better outcome.

August 18, 2015 at 8:18 pm in reply to: CC 2015 Previews Not Real Time

I made the mistake of starting a new project in AE 2015. Encountered the unbelievably slow user interface and eventually decided to go back to 2014 and start over. I’m not sure I can use a product that won’t allow me to try various looks, approaches and techniques if I have to wait :30 secs to see a single frame of the results. Same thing happens just moving along the timeline. It seems as AE moves forward I have to stay behind to get my work done.
    I’m using a new Mac Pro, 3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5
32 GB 1867 Mhz with an AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB graphics card.

Upgraded the OS and installed AE 2015 and all seems to be good. Should be able to open the AE 2014 CC project and proceed forthwith. Would have liked to found the solution to the Configuration Error 5, but just don’t have the time. I have to say… this experience leaves me even more leery about the Creative Cloud model.

Hi, Dave… I should have mentioned that running the Adobe Cleaner was part of my process. Everything else seems to be working well; it’s just AE giving me the Configuration Error. I would upgrade to 2015, except I’m well into a major project and am reluctant to change lanes at this point. However, considering where I am now… I’m not sure there’s a reason not to. I’ll get back into it tomorrow.
    Thanks for the response, Dave

July 25, 2015 at 3:52 pm in reply to: Frozen by Upgrade to CC2015

Hi, Mads… Thanks so much for your reply and interest.
Good News this morning. It wasn’t so easy to get back to 2014CC… every effort to uninstall would fail. However, with considerable stubbornness and research, I was able to do so. At that point, the Premiere update was successful and the work was recovered. I’m going to stay on this version of CC until I deliver this project, then may decide to upgrade to 2015.
Still not sure where/why the difficulty occurred, but my system is:
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,2
Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory: 4 GB
    OS: Yosemite 10.10.4
Looks like it’s going to be a good day today… hope yours is too!

Thanks, Edward… now if I could just get Invigorator to stop crashing. Additional post with specifics to follow.

  • Hi, Sebastian…
Sorry to see the negativity you received to a perfectly reasonable question. I suppose there are those who must confirm their expertise by demeaning others.
Fortunately, people like Mr. Vishesh Arora are willing to share their knowledge and encourage the efforts of others.
I hope your project has worked out… let me know if you want to bounce around some ideas.
It’s amazing what we can learn by listening.
    Regards…
