I’ve seen Ghost wipe out entire hard drives! It’s up to you. Powerquest makes Drive Image by the way, and I use it on XP. So I don’t know what the above poster means. Which ever you choose, backup is essential.

Hey Leslie……….forget both those programs, if you want to back up your C: drive. Go with Drive Image, it’s rock solid, and won’t f— things up!! You will need a second hard drive to use it, but hopefully you have one of those, for your raw video footage, etc. With Drive Image you can backup a perfect system, and if anything goes wrong, you can use your latest Image to re-load your system and be up and running within half an hour!! All the Best……….!! Remember always to keep your data on drives other than your C: Drive. Audio/Video files etc………that way backup’s a breeze.

Forgive me for being presumptuous, but I believe Herr meant the steps involved in printing to disk. If so, then with the left button pressed drag your mouse in the header above the time indicator, above the timeline, to highlight the entire movie, beginning to end. Choose “Render As” and select MPEG2 for “Save as Type” and “DVD NTSC video stream” as template. Then render the audio with the same file name, this time to Dolby Digital AC-3. Both to the same folder. Open DVD Architect 2, create your DVD interface……..(consult manual) select “Prepare DVD” then burn. Viola, finished movie!! Burn either in DVDA2, Nero or the burner app. of your choice. If you can burn it in DVDA2, then that’s great, but not all burners are supported.

I have to admit I did chuckle for quite a long while though, at your answer Charles. Really brought a smile to my face. But it was good advice as well……..Hehe!!

Thanks ever so much for your advice Seth, I’ve purchased Shine, and already have After Effects, so I’ll follow some of Trapcode’s tutorials and get a handle on how to use the effect, and will post some results if they are half decent. Once again thanks again for your help.

Thanks Seth, for the advice. I too love Vegas, and agree it really shines as the Master Editor. But about using Trapcode’s Shine plugin with After Effects, could you link me to a step up step tutorial, or would you be able to tell me that yourself? This is an effect I’m so eager to learn. Once again thanks for your help.
