Hey Jonathan, not much you have to do special, other than let Vegas know where your plugins are. Did you install the VST version of Mercury or the Direct X version? Or perhaps both? Either way, where the plugin .dll’s went is dependent on your host software. So if SX is your host, for instance, they will be in C:/ProgramFiles/Steinberg/CubaseSX/VSTPlugins. So all you need to do is go to Options in Vegas and choose Preferences. Once the dialog box opens choose the TAB called “VST Effects”. Now either in the “Default VST search folder”, or the “Alternate folders 1 or 2”, hit the browse button. Navigate to where your Mercury Bundle plugins are. They may also be in C:/ProgramFiles/Waves/Plugins. Once the folder is selected, it will take some time for Vegas to go through all the plugins and determine which can be used in Vegas, and those that cannot. When you get messages saying this plugin won’t work with Vegas, say ok. This is normal. It has to go through all the plugins in that folder. Those that won’t work in Vegas, it will tag, and you won’t have to go through that procedure again. Lastly, once it’s run through all the plugins, hit “Apply” and close that dialogue box. All the Mercury plugins will be now available for use in Vegas. Hope this helps?
