My monitor can handle a 24p signal. And I still see no change when I try to output a 720p30 signal. Also, even if that were the problem, I don’t see why the audio would seize to output from the HD sequence…

Really?? Weird. I could have sworn I read on CreativeCow that FCP7 was only working reliably on Lion and not Mountain Lion. Oh well, I’m liking my setup as is, so I think I’ll keep it 🙂

Hey,

Thanks for responding. I figured it out actually. I did indeed have to install a driver, specifically the Cuda driver.

Premiere is now recognizing the card, although, I don’t know how to tell if it’s utilizing one or both. Either way, I’m pretty sure Resolve can utilize both, which is why I got 2.

So I’m good to go now. Thanks 🙂

I figured it out.

I had to restart my Mac Pro in Target Disc Mode, and the connect it to a Macbook Pro via firewire.

Then I used the MBP to install Lion on the the desired disc in my Mac Pro.

Can anyone tell me how to find someone who can calibrate monitors? I emailed a few post houses in the DC area, but none of them responded to me. I also put an ad on Craigs List and can try putting an ad on the COW, but other than those things finding someone who knows what they’re doing regarding monitor calibration has stumped me.

I don’t know if you can round-trip, however, I see no reason why you wouldn’t be able to create motion graphics in Motion, export them, and import them into FCP6.
