You can not do AC3 directly off the time line with Blu Ray. The time line burn feature uses the “studio” encoder which does not work for blu ray. You must use the PRO ac3 encoder. -

March 7, 2011 at 2:39 pm in reply to: AC3 Audio and XDCAM EX Video Rendering in Vegas Pro 9Did you turn off the non active speakers in the panner?
The panner is not a switch. It simply allows you to deliver MORE or LESS sound to a given speaker. In other words there will always be ‘leakage’ to the other speakers no matter where you are panned.
If you do not wish this leakage to be present then turn off each speaker that you don’t want the sound to go to.
For example, if you want a given track coming from the left front speaker ONLY then pan all the way to that speaker then click on the other speakers and they will gray out (indicating they are off and no sound going to them).
If you’re still leaking after this then you will need to examine your soundcard and other hardware for leakage issues on playback.

“Do you know of Vegas Pro 10 32-bit benefits from CFF Explorer?”
Yes.
People seem to believe that this is only good for the 64 bit version. This is not the case. The 32 bit versions have a max GROSS memory lid of 4gig (plus page file). This max limit has little to do with 2gig memory flags in independent programs. My PURE GUESS as to why looks at big trouble in 64 bit however I don’t think has much to do with memory limits, but rather FILE LOCATIONS.
64 bit OS’s place 32 bit files and programs into very specific locations that are different from 32 bit OS’s. After install your program often ends up looking in the wrong area(s) for its various sub files and sub routines only to find that they are not there.
Drivers are also a huge issue from 32 to 64 bit systems… but I don’t think that’s a concern here.

If I remember correctly (I registered a LONG time ago) it should be instant.

Sounds like you’ve set up for a “single” movie which does not burn any menus. Hit “new” up in the top left and then click on the menu driven option.

Wow… I’m impressed. That hack has really traveled. The wonders of the internet never cease to amaze me.

yes, I read that. But I also read:
“The color correction was applied by my colorist friend who is using almost an identical setup to mine and had no problems with 64-bit Windows 7 and 32-bit Vegas Pro 10. “
The term “almost” will have to be carefully defined… and with no official support, it will be quite hard for anyone other than you and your colorist to work the problem.

In order to open MOV you need to install QUICKTIME (free download)

If you look on Magic’s site you will note that Looks 1.4 shows compatibility only with vegas 7 and 8 and it shows no compatibility for win7 (64) at all. They have also not put forth a single update for Vegas since it came out (not enough business). Given all of this, it’s going to be real tough to trouble shoot the issue at all.
