  • Thanks Shane.
So if I’m going turn over footage from my P2 cards in the requested “1080i 59:95” format for the clients avid editor….I’ll be fine shooting at 1080i/60i and giving them the MXF files to import?

So, in order for me to view this HD footage on an external monitor will I have to get a capture card or deck?……or is there a cheaper workaround solution?
    Thanks for the quick response.

I’m capturing my FCP media, waveform/thumbnail cache to a Lacie 500GB drive. When I open a new Soundtrack Pro project I also save this to my Lacie 500 GB drive. Perhaps my system is just too slow.

I’m capturing footage off a HDV miniDV tape (1080i) from a Sony HVR-M10U onto a Lacie 500 Firewire drive. I don’t think it’s a slow processing speed or memory problem….but then again, at this point I’m not too sure about anything pertaining to this problem. This audio glitching problem occurs with normal audio (48hz 16 bit) captured from a music cd, in addition to HDV footage.

    I have a 15″ powerbook 1.5GHz with 2Gb of RAM. I’m using FCP 5 with Tiger 10.4.2
