I have 1080i60 HDV footage that I logged and captured with FCP 5 with no problem, but when I attempt to open up these same .mov files in Soundtrack Pro the video lags behind the audio. I’m working on a powerbook 1.5GHz with 2 GB of ram. I’ve had no problems in regards to processing speed with FCP.
Are there specific video settings for HDV footage in Soundtrack Pro that I’m overlooking?

The issue you’re having is not a problem on a G5 with HDV material digitized to a separate media drive. Are you perhaps using a your system drive for capture and playback?

I’m capturing my FCP media, waveform/thumbnail cache to a Lacie 500GB drive. When I open a new Soundtrack Pro project I also save this to my Lacie 500 GB drive. Perhaps my system is just too slow.

Projects should be on the system drive.
