Apple’s OSX only supports 8-bits for the display this is a OS level software issue so even if the hardware can support it the software does not.

Film LUTs are mostly used to emulate film color space when doing a DI, i.e. a film print LUT which takes into account the DI recording stock, the Print Stock and the lab variables. I don’t generally think that camera stock emulation LUTs are available outside of shops that have built them for internal looks.
Maybe someone like me could build some….

The 480 is close to the 580 in performance and is quite cheap right now, I just got two 480’s with water cooling blocks for about $300.

Pro-Res is rapidly becoming the only reason to run a MAC and there are some apps which apparently have a license to write Pro-Res on Wintel already.

I was under the impression that GPU’s were not supported on OSX over Thunderbolt. Best way to get CUDA on a laptop is probably to get a Windows machine.

For the price Neat video is amazing, also it is CUDA accelerated which can be tremendous because it is a CPU/GPU intensive plugin. They do have an OFX plugin version but unfortunately Resolve does not have a plugin architecture, hint hint feature request!!
I run Neat video in FCP on the Resolve machine and denoise clips individually as needed.

Weird, CUDA driver on Win7 issue? Maybe run a 9800GT as GUI instead of the Quadro?
I have not yet run Resolve on Windows but I am building another Asus P6T7WS system with GTX-480’s for GPU and a 9800GT for GUI which I intend to dual boot Win7 and Lion.

I think you might have the GPU throttleded back due to the PCIe lane distribution and how the cards are installed. There are a limited number of lanes available on most MB’s and even though the slot might be X16 electrically it may run at X8 or X4 depending on what other cards are installed and where they are.
Can you post what make and model the board is?

If it is light grey I think that means it is the original HD-Link which is dual link but only 8-bit output and I don’t think it was 2K capable just 1080. Also you might have to adjust some of the HD-Link settings for the LCD you are using. Do you have the HD-Link control installed on the machine you are using and the HD-Link connected by USB?
