I got our 2,1 3ghz 8-core to run with a gtx285 and the stock nvidia (9500?? or something) there is a Kext file which you have to download and install for the OS to recognize the GTX285 card and then it works, but GPU bandwidth is bottlenecked by the PCIe 1.0 slots….
Just sold that 2,1 waiting for a 4…

I brought my Dongle home and have noticed a similar problem while quitting Resolve which ends up with me having for force terminate the app. This is on my 2.53Ghz 15″ Macbook Pro which is obviously unsupported hardware.
Maybe it would be good to post users current hardware config in this signature here, like the Apple Color forum.

I was able to use a basic Decklink SDI Pcie card on the Mac-Pro 2,1 and tried deck control and output to the Panny Plasma, both worked.

Your solution does save us quite a bit until we set up a projection based room and seems to be a great solution for a HD / Assist station.

My primary interest in Lightspace is for Projection calibration for Film DI mostly from 35mm or 16mm 2K scans and D-Cine files which will be returning to film/DCP for presentation. I like the idea of being able to calibrate the Panny for Rec 709 only because I would not grade a film project on a direct view display anyhow.

Pretty interesting stuff, I have been using a Panny 11UK with a SDI in card and the 11 series really needed the SDI card to get 10bits. Maybe I will move the 11 onto a telecine and get a 25 with the Video EQ for the Resolve.
One of the attractive things about Lightspace is support of Film and DCI space.

For the $6k the Davio is I would tend towards buying a X-Rite Hubble probe and Lightspace cms ( https://www.lightillusion.com/cubebuilder.htm ) or Cinespace which will allow for calibrating monitors and building lut’s for various profiles. I know you can build and load 3d luts into the HD-Link display product how about the Decklink 3D does it have a loadable LUT? or is anyone using a Display lut in Resolve itself and does it mean a performance hit at all on mac?

I think the quad 2010 2.66 nehalem is a certified machine so I would think that the quad 2.8 2010 would be. There are refurb mac pro’s on the apple store right now and if you get a dual cpu you could eventually switch out the cpu’s for faster units, if you are careful.
