I got it, never mind the post. I had 3D per character enabled for my text inside my 3D comp so i disable it and it’s fine.

Have you tried restoring the default preferences as Walter suggested?

If still doesn’t work you can find the 9.0 folder easy. Just type “%appdata%” without the quotes in search box on W7 or in Run on Xp. Then you go to Roaming\Adobe\After Effects and you will see the 9.0 folder.

REMEMBER: Make a copy of that folder first as backup and put it in some place safe just in case something goes wrong and you revers the process then delete it and try opening AE again.

    See how it works,

    Thanks,

An xml file may be corupted in AE. Here is what i would do:

    – update AE

    If still not working

    – back up the folder called 9.0 ( from…AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects\9.0 folder)
    – AFTER THE BACK UP delete the entire 9.0 folder.
    – AE should open fine now

    Thank’s a lot.

It’s my final delivery i guess. The client will use it as an intro for his videos. If i try to render out on PC in QT with PNG or PhotoJPEG compression the video will run ok on iMac?

    Cheers!

I use this script from Ben Rollason. It does a great job.
    Ripple

It’s very basic….there are no instructions or help… but it will do what you want.

Install it in your scripts folder. It won’t work as a docked panel / script UI.

Select top level comp, change duration setting of this comp manually. Run the script, click ‘Ripple’. The duration setting of the top level comp will be rippled down through all subcomps and layer lengths will be adjusted accordingly.

Yes, big file size has a big impact usually on playing a video. You may also try to convert the video using QT settings (pro).

    Thanks!

    Hello!

Try and disable the “From current time” option in the preview panel. Maybe it is enabled for some reason.
