    Hello,

what are the possibile ways to render an AE CS4 project from a PC (windows 7) for someone that uses iMovie on an iMac?

I am looking for the smallest size possible. I want to render the project in QT format, but what codec should i use that will be ok on iMac?

Can someone help me because i want the person i send the video to be able to work with it in iMovie on an iMac.

    Please help me,

    Thank you,

    Robert

Do you want a final delivery codec for display and presentation? If so, use h264 in an mp4 container. Or do you want an intermediate codec for more editing before final delivery? If so download Avid’s quicktime LE codecs and use the DNxHD codec in an mov container. Load the codecs on both the pc and mac system.

    Thank’s a lot.

It’s my final delivery i guess. The client will use it as an intro for his videos. If i try to render out on PC in QT with PNG or PhotoJPEG compression the video will run ok on iMac?

    Cheers!

If he is including it into another piece to be rendered again, then you want an intermediate codec, not a delivery codec. PNG will work but will be unnecessarily large. Use what I suggested.
