from the specs page you provided

    # Display Format 720p
    # Image Aspect Ratio 16:9

So, you’re comp setting aspect ratio would be 16:9. Size would be determined by how you want to deliver.

yes video copilot is always the way to go. Funny, in my previous post I also recommended another site and was flagged. Guess the cow has some enemies in the template world.

Kevin’s right on all accounts. Also, if you have problems with the key just on the edges you may want to render out in 2 passes. 1 being a straight matte and the other being the alpha channel. In your editing program you them would use the alpha as a matte to get a clean key.

Not sure what you mean by “halo’s”. If you’re having so much trouble with the light, I would not use it at all. Try a simple mask with gradients on the objects. Would have a lot more control on where you want the light look.

Sometimes the light in 3d space is more trouble than good.

  • Put the effect in a precomp, should work fine in 3d space

Looks like the video is using a few plug ins (particular, 3d stroke). May want to check out template sites like bluefx, they may have one there that would work for you

Find a nice texture on the web you like. Bring that in AE and use your titles as an alpha matte. This will change the straight texture to the file texture of your choice.
