what system did you use for the proxies? Path or tape name? What’s the format of the proxies? Generally if they don’t show up it’s because the drive holding them isn’t mounted.

path is what you want. It makes a lot more sense as you work with it.

where are the files stored? Locally or on the network?
what format are the proxies?
and are you making tape-based or path-based proxies (in the proxy/thumbnail settings)

do a query on the entire database for all the clips with the same keywords and change them en mass to the new one. Then delete the old one. I’d think that would work.

The way you describe it, whomever is logging is taking too long. What sort of detail is being logged? Can you apply notes or fields to large groups of shots at one time?

do you have sufficient pre-roll at the head of the tape?

well a stock footage operation is going to have different needs and workflow. There are some people on here who specialize in that.
You can always let someone select a clip based on the sub clips and then deliver the clip by exporting the sub clip as a movie from CatDV. For the purposes of bandwidth you can use the proxies with reel name an timecode burned in. That’s more or less the way we operate here. The master reels are stored on raw drives at full resolution. Everything is searched via the proxy files. We don’t go back to the “masters” until we’re doing finish work.
Are you using the web interface?Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

You can export movies, but you’d have to deal with changing file names, unless you reimport to CatDV.
As an editor I prefer long clip reels with markers. I don’t like having to open each and every clip. I can drag spubclips directly into FCP as either proxy or full resolution media.Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

That’s an odd ip address for an internal intranet. Are you trying to connect to a server over the web?

Not being an expert in networking, it really sounds like the Web client would suit your needs. The difference between workgroup and enterprise is permissions (pretty much).
Bandwidth is what you make of it across the web and at each of your locations. Depending on how much footage you process you could also copy the proxies to the remote location. That would be the same as me copying my proxies off the proxy drive attached to the MacPro at the studio onto a portable drive so I can work offsite with the laptop. Copies of the Proxies could be FTPed to the other site. Just a thought so you could use higher quality proxies. Me, I don’t care.
Note that my “server” is my main machine in my #1 suite, the one I’m cutting on at the same time. That’s also where the drive containing the proxies lives. That way I don’t lose my connection if one of the other machine goes offline for any reason (which it does when it’s rebooted and I forget to reconnect to it).
