    Thanks.

I don’t see the Preserve Edges option. I’m using AE 5.5. Could be that’s somewhere else?

I think I can wait. I’ll just archive and reinstall and then see what comes up.

Thanks – that appears to be it. I’m running 4.5. I guess it’s time to upgrade.

I did recently upgrade to 10.4.9 – I wonder. Hmmm.

Also – no I have not taken out the RAM yet.

    Drat.

Oh yeah – and adding insult to injury – it turns out that everything I capture with the “abort on dropped frames” turned off is out of sync after the dropped frames.

Well, I seem to have found the problem, only I’m still not sure what caused it. In all my projects in the Viewer window under the Motion tab – the center coordinates have been shifted. Once I set them both back to 0 the clips play fine. Now my question is why are they shifted in the first place?

Something else odd that I just noticed is that all the video clips I open in the viewer seem to be offset just a fraction. In other words it’s as if I grabbed the frame and moved it over a vew pixels – I can see the checkerboard background behind an edge of the frame. Of course I haven’t done that but perhaps that’s the problem I also get a flickering arrow when I try to play the clips – as if it’s rendering or something as it plays.

Sorry, you misunderstood my question. I actually have to export a video to include in a powerpoint presentation.
