    Hi,

I saw some posts about exporting MPEGs for PowerPoint. Is that the best option? Should it be an MPEG 1 or MPEG 2. The reason I’m asking is the client asked for a QT file, but didn’t know if that’s what he needed.

Try using Apple’s Keynote. It has a nifty Quicktime export feature and it works pretty well for making QT movies out of PPT presentations.

Sorry, you misunderstood my question. I actually have to export a video to include in a powerpoint presentation.

Well it’s not Mpeg2, that’s for DVD. Mpeg1 is fine and pretty safe to use. Or Sorensen3. If they have QT7 on the playback machine h.264 is great.

best option is wmv (compared with the quality of mpg1) but you’ll need Flip4Mac

Any of those options can be made to work, but WMV is by far the best in terms of ease of use in Ppt, especially if the presentation is used by various people with various computers.
