FYI (many years later, but…) I tried the suggestion of dropping the audio sample rate to 32,000, but it had no corrective effect on the audio sync issue that I, too, am having – though it’s on version 10.
So far, the ONLY thing that has brought the rendered results in sync is grabbing just a small looped region – like 30 seconds – instead of the whole 10 minute piece. Suddenly, with this smaller piece, it was in perfect audio sync after rendering. Unfortunately, I need a 10 minute piece! But I have a feeling this is telling. Any thoughts?

both the original question, and this follow-up, are great questions. Didn’t know there was scripting. And I could sure benefit from the ability to add a simple keyboard command to something that presently doesn’t have one, such as, “Create Subclip.” Could have benefited from a keyboard shortcut of that roughly 200 times yesterday. 🙂

great news that that option exists, thanks for pointing it out. Too bad it’s not set as the default position.

purely in the sense that “misery loves company,” it helps. LOL. 🙂 Thanks again

Geez, seriously? Thanks for the info. But dear god, how incredibly un-intuitive, that I’d have to tell the software to save one unique aspect of the work I’m doing! It would be as inane as having to tell Microsoft Word to save formatting separately from saving the file itself. Sad then that I’ve wasted so many hours on this. But thanks for the education.

i think i may have erred in trying to respond to this post with an attachment — a document with Vegas keyboard shortcuts. I think it may have posted to the top level of the board, rather than as a reply to this, so look for it at the top level. I’m a one-handed typist, due to right hand paralysis, and really appreciate how much you can indeed do with keyboard shortcuts in Vegas to minimize mouse usage. The doc i uploaded lists them.

The first one uses a blur, the second uses pixelating. i found them both useful in learning how to do this.

May 20, 2011 at 4:44 am in reply to: Vegas 10 multicam mode — doesnt transfer to new project? That’s a bit encouraging news, Nigel. By “nesting” do you mean dragging a .veg file from the explorer menu onto the the primary .veg file?

With Vegas 10 on Win. sys 7, it wasn’t installed when i installed Vegas. I tried their on-site instructions (reinstalling and a bunch of other useless shenanigans) before i finally happened upon this link where there’s a handy-dandy link to download Media Manager:
https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/mediamanager
I did so, and everything’s fine now; Vegas with the fully functional Media Manager.
What’s really annoying is why they didn’t put a link to that page on their general download page. It’s a miracle (of google’s “search this site” feature) that i found the page at all.
Good luck,
Ric
