i’m starting to think i may have done a bad thing. Given the massive scope of the project (over 60 hours of footage from a 3-camera shoot), i decided to break down the work into multiple project files by presenter (there were many at this event), with the intention of marrying it back together into a single project. With ea. project file, i set up multicamera features, but did not yet make any cutting choices between cameras. Now that I’ve merged all these seperate project files into a single file, it seems that the multicamera info didnt import; there is no more multicamera mode.

it seems (and i hope I’m wrong) that i may have wasted time merging the files without having first made my cutting decisions between the 3 cameras while still in the separate project files … Yes? No? Is there any way to “awaken” the multicam state after dragging the seperate projects into a single project file? or do i need to go back to the sep. presenter files and make my multicam edit decisions first, then re-merge the files into the project main file?

    Thanks. ;8^)

I would do the multi-cam edits in the source projects and then nest the veg files in a master project. Any changes/tweaks to the source projects should automatically update in the master project.

That’s a bit encouraging news, Nigel. By “nesting” do you mean dragging a .veg file from the explorer menu onto the the primary .veg file?

    That is correct.
