I am curious if anyone has successfully tried this?

The reason would be able to provide edited HD content for playback on the P2 Gear reader which would allow for HD-SDI capture from the P2 gear to an EVS XT(2). Primarily the ability to provide pre-produced HD content to an HD OB truck without any HD VTR’s.

I too am having difficulty exporting from FCP to play back on a ImageServer 2000. I want to FTP content from the FCP directly to the 360Systems server. Any advice would be appreciated.

yes weird is the word….I appreciated your time and interest. No the Pictron DAM database has no relationship to any files on-line. I use it as a proxy database to generate batch lists (XML) of particular game highlights we are wanting to edit with. We simply then digitze them from Digibeta. Each FCP is direct attached storage currently so I am hoping to eliminate redundent captures of clips and begin preparations for a SAN infrastructure next year. Interesting bit of info…..the XML generated by Pictron works fine for intial capture but not for re-connect, however, if I change the line to before I import to re-connect it allows me to connect the files with a bunch of “non-critical errors” (like adding 8 tracks of audio). If I change the Pictron XML with the above change prior to capture it loses all media start and media end TC information. I don’t know much about XML code but it seems it could be a simple line of code that is conflicting. Anyway, so far Pictron nor Apple have been able to provide a solution. If anyone can look at XML files and be able to find the discrepencies I would be glad to send them to you.

Thanks for the reply Andy. I tried your suggestion but still nothing. After selecting re-connect, I select search it finds the clip, I can choose it, but still will not recognize it as a found file and therefore does not activate the connect button. What is the basis of FCP recognizing that it is the exact same clip? There must be a discrepency between the external imported XML file and the XML generated by FCP upon import and capture. Any idea?
