February 18, 2008 at 6:13 pmPardon my ignorance, but why do you want to?
You can PRINT TO VIDEO back to the camera, with it in MCR mode….I think. I know this has been done. But why do this? P2 are acquisition cards, not meant for mastering.

May 28, 2008 at 4:41 pmI am curious if anyone has successfully tried this?
The reason would be able to provide edited HD content for playback on the P2 Gear reader which would allow for HD-SDI capture from the P2 gear to an EVS XT(2). Primarily the ability to provide pre-produced HD content to an HD OB truck without any HD VTR’s.

February 12, 2009 at 1:54 pmRik, I am trying to do virtually the same thing, get some edited content from FCP back into an EVS without involving tape/decks. Did you have any luck with this process? Thanks. John

March 20, 2009 at 2:52 pmI have managed to get the content onto the P2 card as described above. I’m just wondering if there is an easyer way to do it. Fx. export as a file directly onto the P2 card???
Thanks!
Anne.

February 20, 2010 at 12:26 amHi – I use some software called Raylight. Its designed for exporting back to P2 card. I find its very good and it alows you to edit P2 footage with ‘link’ files (aka Proxies).
I have found this is the only thing that works when applying any effects or filters.
The only thing that sux is there is problems with exporting footage that you have modified the speed of. It goes all flickery. If anyone finds a solution to this – please let me know

Did you ever have any luck with this? I’m looking to do the same thing. I’ve also looked at the EVS Exporter plugin for FCP (skip another step) but it doesn’t seem to work in FCP X.
