A slideshow on the timeline saves just like any other video project. What you can’t save is any active work in the slideshow creator. Try this;
Insert — Slideshow
Add a few photos in the slideshow creator.
Project — Save As
Exit Vegas Studio & then load it again.
Open your project & Insert — Slideshow.
All your changes are gone. -
Unfortunately, there’s no multi-cam video track in Studio. But that’s not the problem I’m having anyways. It’s the complication of 5.1 audio. It’s not just 1 video track & 1 audio track per camera; it’s 1 video track & 4 audio tracks (Front, Center, LFE & Rear) per camera. When you drag in the media for each camera, all those audio tracks don’t lay down on separate tracks, they overlay on top of the existing audio tracks. I’ll play around with it & see how I can keep the tracks separated. Thanks.

Earlier today, I rendered the audio to Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio (*.ac3)and the video to Mainconcept MPEG-2 (*.m2v) with Blu-ray 1920x1080i-60i 25Mbs with custom constant bit rate set to 23Mbps. It seems to have come out O.K. Next time, should I use Sony AVC instead?
Thanks for the advice….I’ve got a functional Blu-ray burned & ready to go for Sunday.

Yes, Vegas 10 HD Studio.
It doesn’t give me any setting choices using “Make Movie” wizard. Perhaps I should not be using the wizard in the future.
I’ll try the recompression in DVD Architect I just posted info about but perhaps I should start from a fresh render in Vegas Studio with different settings. It’s not a huge deal to add the menus again in DVD architect, it’s just the time for rendering (and it froze on a couple attempts).
Thanks for your help….I’m getting better but still have a ways to go.

I just went to File — Optimize Disc within DVD Architect and found I could select the 25.7 Gb video on the left & choose to recompress it. I assume this second recompression will reduce quality substantially. What’s interesting is that when the Recompression is set to “No”, it says the video is 27,713 MB at a bit rate of 24.986 Mbps but as soon as I click Recompress “Yes”, the video says 18,948 MB and a bit rate of 18.00 Mbps. I’ll scale the bit rate up to 22 Mbps & see what happens. I wish this was known before the original rendering (maybe it is estimated somewhere but I missed it).

I used “Make Movie” wizard & selected “burn to Bluray” which created .m2v & .w64 files through a long render process. Then, it asks to “Send to DVD Architect” which I did adding the main screen & all the screen selection thumbnails, etc. Then, it tells me it won’t fit & the “Fit to Disk” function doesn’t seem to do anything but tell you it won’t fit. It seems ridiculous I’d have to redo all of this (re-rendering, creation of the menus, etc.) and it’s just luck if it fits. Why doesn’t “Optimize” & “Fit to Disk” do anything? Are there just settings I can adjust in the DVD Architect portion of the render? If so, suggestions to get it from 25.8 to 25Gb?

Somewhat related….I haven’t been able to find a way to paste text into scrolling credit. I’d like to prepare long text in WORD & then copy/paste it into a scrolling credit. I don’t want to retype each line into a credit line. Is this possible?

You say the full manual is a pdf file. I can’t find a full manual for Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10…only Quick Start guides. I can only find a full manual online for Vegas Pro. Am I missing it somewhere?
