If total control over your fade curves are in your future you must take a look at Vegas. Very, very nice audio editing and mixing. Plus, it’s like you get a video editor for free. 🙂

Proc amp may yield better results than the colour corrector, this time.

I am a ten year veteran of Inscriber and feel your pain.

I recommend getting an accomplished professional FCP colleague, even better if he or she knew Inscriber, to show you through Livetype. Not some kid showing you the cool FX … that’s not what you’re after I gather from your email.

The interface with all those twizly knobs and dials can seem a bit much coming from the simplicity and accuracy of a program like Inscriber with it’s Templates (ie: I still don’t know how to type in a baseline value I have to use my mouse) but Livetype is quite nice when integrated properly with FCP.

In fact I find I’m liking it more for the odd animated transition that Titlemotion always promised but didn’t really deliver in an easy-to-use interface. I won’t say LT rocks but it’s very capable and like I said there are a number of features that someone just has to show you that you may find increases your ability to generate money-making (ie: quick) titles.

[David Roth Weiss] “Just like Discreet Edit 7.5 HD, right???”

David don’t confuse the poor apple cow folk! 😉

I will say this – notice the response times on my queries this week. Several solid answers in under 30 minutes. Reminds me of the “Good Old Days”. Nice to be in another active cow-munity!

Sorry Walter I wasn’t clear … the motion blur in the Motion tab of a clip is currently set to a default 500 I need it preset to 90.

Try exporting a video only EDL from Ulead then audio only two tracks at at time.

I think CMX is the one to go with if you have a choice.
