Thanks,
So with that being said, would you be afraid of mixing the two different units, (the Diva and the unit from Cool Lights since I will be correcting for the spike that each is reported to have)?

Great,
That’s exactly the type of info I’m looking for. Green spikes do seem to be the problem I’m hearing about.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with this in the case of the Diva’s and the Cool Lights. I’ve heard the same complaints from people regarding the Divas. Although we’ve never had that big of a problem after fooling with our white balance settings to the desired look on set or in the field.
I guess I’m trying to figure out if the same complaints I’m hearing about one are the same complaints I’m hearing about the other in which case in my mind you go with the money saving choice. If it’s a drastic difference than I spend the extra dough to have the right unit over the long haul.
Thanks,
Rich -

Thank you Everyone,
Once again the cow forums have come to the rescue. Hopefully I can return the favor soon.

Tell me about it.
I seems to be a lone ranger in a Secam desert. Maybe I can catch a cheap flight to France. This one seems to keep stumping everyone.

Thank you Charles,
I’m going to be trying your suggestion over the weekend.

Thanks guys,
I actually just tried pixelguys suggestion and you can indeed move the media to the trash or delete altogether. These options don’t show until you initiate the command from the menu.
One more headache averted because of the fine people at creative cow.

Hi Shane,
Thanks for the response. I actually got down to the bottom of things. But to answer you question, yes I was using a 20″ Sony HR broadcast monitor. The solution came from AJA. I have a Kona2 board and after we upgraded to the latest drivers and firmware everything seems to have cleared up. I was nothing that they had seen before so they assumed a corruption had happened somehow.
What’s the deal with the disable overlays in the Canvas. Has this been wreaking havok?

Solutions have been found. On a hunch I called AJA. They suggested I download and replace the drivers and firmware. We then went in and made sure all was well with the control panel and wallah. No picture shrinking. It even cleared up the font and graphics problems I was having.
Salvation at last.
