  • You can’t believe how many users are begging for a Mac version!

I think Fanuria might do some of that…but I like to be paid when I’m looking out the window or up at the ceiling thinking of what clever things I might bring to the edit!

  • I know Vmix uses something called Vmix call and they use a proprietary connection to the camera on the other side. Vmix is a big boy tool but it is solid for this. I have tried a plugin for Skype but not everyone can log into Skype especially corporate clients who swear by Microsoft teams because of it’s proposed security, but it’s got as many holes as Wisconsin Swiss cheese!

I’ve done your method as well…Screenflow and record oversized but also had frame rate issues.

Nothing is perfect yet especially at an entry level price.

Hmmm….this link does not work. https://www.Reels.creativecow.net

Also what happened to the Jobs forum? I used to advertise jobs for AfterEffects artists there a lot…kind of miss that one stop shop.

I agree….the draw for me was the 10gig Ethernet….could have used two of them so we could aggregate! But have loved mine. The monitor is a little oversaturated for color work but no biggie. It’s been my workhorse machine for a while running the Adobe suite and am glad I made the investment. It helped me decide to keep the old Mac Pro going a bit longer, and wait until the new Mac Pro comes down in price and fixes a few issues.

My larger more long range concerns with Apple is the OS. They need to keep the desktop OS rock solid for the higher end workflows and expectations of hardware/expandability needs, rather than trying to marry iOS and Mac OS into one ecosystem. The AREN’T!

All your links are broken…at least on my end.

    Hmmmm.

  • I stopped trusting Lumetri several years ago when a few of us had a similar conversation. I went entirely with Red Giant’s Colorista. Works great. Since everyone is using the Adobe Suite we have no choice really, except to invest in third party software….but that is challenging if I have to exchange a project with others and they don’t use Colorista!

Who is your business bank? That is your first stop…they should help you thru the application process. I use US Bank and they have been great….been with them since 2001 and always felt like they had my back, as much as the local banks threw shade at the “big banks”. Too bad, it works for me!
