This button enables the animation of the text verbiage. Just like the similar buttons permit the animation of the colors or positions.

Super 8 film was shot at 18 fps. I generally capture film at 18 fps. Is the audio in sync when played from the timeline? When you say it was dubbed, how was that done – audio added in Vegas while video playing on the timeline or something else?

Two things:

1) Try 18 fPs?,

2) If the amount of “out of sync” is constant over the entire video, try slipping the audio with respect to the video.

Were the audio and video recorded with the same recorder (e.g. camera only – not camera and tape recorder)?

Checkout something like SnagIt (Techsmith) – I think they have a version which creates video from the screen – Camtasia. While it is possible to animate in Vegas, it can be tedious.

Hi Bob,

I have never used the zoom tool – to zoom the timeline use the mouse wheel. This zooms the timeline about the timeline marker. I don’t know of any way to make that toolbar larger.

It looks to me like your original video clip is black and white – not color. The timeline video doesn’t show the result of any filter you have added, although, in this case it doesn’t look like you have any filters applied. You can try play with the Vegas Color Corrector and maybe enhance the contrast some. Also the lighting in the background…

Have you tried reinstalling the missing effects? If not, try one set. Make sure to restart the computer, the see if it is found. Maybe there is something about one of the set which is preventing all effects from being found.

This may sound really stupid, but have you checked your mouse? I have had issues with mouses where the buttons start to bounce – usually when the mouse starts to get old or is used a lot. I use that setting on my Vegas and never had a problem.
