Thanks Michael but, I believe I have exhausted all those possibilities

Hi jPo
I really wish I better understood what you’re telling me because I feel I’ve tried every combination of settings at this point.
You say, “HDMI Resolve output to something 1080”.
Where, exactly, should I make this setting? Project Settings? If so, I’ve done that.“allow the LG to recognize the picture”.
It’s never recognized the picture or anything except for Color Bars and pretty much all the Resolve Generator items except for the ‘4 Color Gradient’.
It also displays type from the titles generator.
It has never displayed a picture when the playhead is over footage.“switch your Resolve output back to UHD or 4096 — the LG should display a picture”.
The Ultra Studio Mini Monitor will not output this resolution.
It’s limited to 1080 or maybe 2K.Thanks for your input, tho!

I have a 2013 Mac Pro and cannot get anything on my new OLED LG 4K TV out of the HDMI port on the Mac Pro.
Not sure why.
I just made a post (below yours) about trouble with getting an image from Resolve on the TV using a Blackmagic Ultra Studio Mini Monitor -
Thank you, Jeremy!
Perhaps that is it.
Guess all’s well that ends well.
Just hadn’t seen that behavior before.

Let me know, if you can but, from what I hear, I don’t think a machine replacement is going to help. Many, if not all, Mac Pro’s are experiencing very similar results. Seems even after Apple replaces the machine in question, the issue persists. Many people seem to be placing the blame on poor code implementation for the Firepro 700 cards but, this is beyond my pay grade so, I really don’t know. Quite vexing, indeed.

Does the corrupted render problem with Resolve and the new Mac Pro (trashcan) still exist? Hoping some updates to El Capitan would solve it.

Thank you, Joseph! Great idea. Something I would not have thought of. Although, I’m somewhat averse to looking at long strings of code, that may be the only way. To this point, anyway, no one has suggested anything better.

October 24, 2015 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Content Browser Consistently Crashes When Spot Checking Clips – Ian CookI want to reply to this also as I’m having the same problem.
Never had a problem with CB until recently as a simple scrub will set the beach ball in motion and if the clip is in full screen mode, I have to do a hard reboot of the computer CB is pretty much worthless for me now. Weird that it’s never exhibited any problems until just recently.
I’m running 10.8.5 and try to look at clips from my EX1 shot years ago and always played really well in CB.
Downloaded the latest version and now, pfffftt!!! -

I use an old version because I don’t want to upgrade my OS.
Thanks
