I went back thru my ebay purchases, found the one I have in my purchase history but, unfortunately, a click on it got a page saying it’s not available now.
The only criteria I used to buy the one I have was, the name or description included ‘splitter’ and ‘stripper’.
Also, powered from a wall outlet. The following link came up during my search. Can’t vouch for it but, it might do it. The picture shows a wall outlet power cord. I think that might be important.

I’m not sure of all the ramifications on this method but, I sometimes have a little success by importing a soundtrack first then, bringing in the clips on top of that.

I’m using Resolve 14 Studio now but, it’s been there for many versions of Resolve for years.
My F5 has older firmware, allowing for 4K recording without the $1000 Sony wanted for the 4K upgrade.I’m pretty much convinced now it’s an issue with Resolve’s interpretation of the file.
Thanks for the response!

Thank you, Oliver! Thought it might be something like that. I spoke to a tech at Blackmagic – said they don’t, currently, have plans/dates on implementing PRR. It’s a shame for me as I use Resolve now for just about everything.
Thanks again,

Hi Oliver
Thank you for your reply!
That is what I was hoping for, short of a Resolve update supporting ProRes RAW.
(I do have the Studio version.)Do we know enough, at this point, about PRR – how much is lost as far as grade-ability by converting to 4444?
I know 4444 is a pretty ‘full’ codec but, just curious?
Likely obvious but, to confirm… PRR is, currently, only supported by FCPX so, as far as the conversion goes, that would need to be done with FCPX, correct? Selecting ProRes 4444 as the output render in FCPX?
Thanks very much again,

Mark, you sir, get the prize.
The HDMI splitter solved it.
It is one that is a so-called ‘splitter/stripper’.If you are in Dallas for some reason, that steak dinner, I promised in my original post, is yours.
Or, if your a vegetarian, I got you covered on that, too. Thanks very much for the suggestion!

I will check with Blackmagic on that.
Thank you -
Thank you, Bill
I cannot afford one of the items.
As Marc suggested, I’m starting to believe it’s an HDCP thing and might be remedied by an HDMI splitter.
Thanks again,

Marc – thank you for your input!
That thought has been running around in the back of my mind for a couple of days and had no clue how to rectify it.
Thanks for the HDMI splitter box idea.
After checking Amazon and Ebay, it is very difficult to determine which one will block the HDCP code.
Some of those that supposedly do, have comments from buyers suggesting that newer units of the same model, may not. Possibly, having had firmware installed (on the newer units) that pass the HDCP.I’m not interested in doing anything illegal, just need to see my own footage on the LG.
I will keep looking.
Thanks
