*Integration with Photoshop and Illustrator.(Please note the XML from 7 into PP has some issues you cannot foresee. It gets the cuts pretty well, but that’s a simple EDL. The troublesome part has been translating workflow styles, for example, an editor used tiff mattes to make an editing effect (blinking falling thing transition), and when the XML came over the entire effect had to be rebuilt, and that meant dynamic link into After Effects, where I think the effect looked better, but, for the purposes here, the XML couldn’t do what it couldn’t do, and although deadline was made, there was some extra time involved.)

Go to preferences > Media > Media Cache Database and set that fast drive as the Location, this will speed up renders quite a bit.

I actually put in a request for a check box called “Happy Client” because it would be very useful during a client sitting-in session. I could open that window and check the box. Fewer questions. Less discussion. More things getting done. Super important feature that we need in all NLEs.

Honestly, the video in Photoshop is a great workflow for dSLR shooters running around the country side.

So that’s cool, but X still needs a Roles Inspector implemented, where bussing, fx, sends, faders, and a master can all be handled in the NLE.
