    It’s just HTML
Duplicate the folder you like most (in the presets folder)

    Rename it.

Open up artwork and source pages into an HTML editor like GoLive or Dreamweaver

Fully covered in Photoshop for Nonlinear Eaditors (several pages long)

    here is condensed.

    Build your graphic in PS
    Save off your background
Turn off all Layers exceopt those belonging to your alpha matte
    Make new Layer
    Select New layer
    Hold down Option Key
    Choose Merge Visible
    Lock transparency
    Fill with White
    Make New layer underneath
    Fill with Black
    Merge layers
    save off
    Invert so black on white
Save that off too (can’t remember from top of head if DVDSP prefers w/on b or b/on w)

    Bring that into DVDSP

read online help about using a highlight matte

Can’t really do that…. Selection tools aren’t recorded into actions like that

    Defintely slower… but acceptable

  • 1. Apple and Adobe video products have NEVER been forward compatibility. In other words… you can open and OLD project and promote it to new.. but not go backwards.

    2. If you change the name of the app (liek Final cut Pro 4_5 or Motion 1 (or move them out of the Apps folder) they won’t get blown away

The academic version is being used for when I TEACH (which I do at the Unviersity and Classroom level).

The other versions we ordered at the local Apple Store… but have not yet installed (or picked up) as they aren’t in.

Those will be going into our production shop.

    Lots of books in box….

HOWEVER… just Motion getting started book

But you do get ALL FCP books, DVD SP, and Soundtrack for some reason….

Seems they ran out of space in the box (for studio).
